Shotokan Grand Master Hirokazu Kanazawa was born in 1931 in Iwate (Japan). At a very early age he became interested in the various martial arts. As a student at Takushoku University, he became a student of Masatoshi Nakayama and the founder of Shotokan Karate Gichin Funakoshi.

In this film, Kancho Kanazawa shows the basic techniques of Shotokan Karate. The Grand Master begins with a preface and the etiquette of Karate-Do. Positions, defensive techniques, Fauststoßtechniken, leg techniques, combination techniques are also part of this fantastic DVD. The partners demonstrated techniques with Shihan Hirokazu Kanazawa Kawasoe 7.Dan and members of the Kanazawa Kokusai Shotokan Karatedo Austria.
