Clips from our film archive that show such famed fighters as Enoeda sensei, Andy Sherry, Terry O'Neil, Bob Poynton, Steve Cattle, George Godfry, Billy Higgins, Frank Brennan et al. These film clips were recorded in the late 70s and early 80s - a time when the Karate Union of Great Britain had over 30 thousands members, and was the largest karate organization in the UK. Although the membership is now much smaller, the KUGB remains the largest Shotokan body in the UK and still produces some of the best fighters and kata exponents.

The fighters you see in these clips all eventually became professional instructors, and still uphold the standards that they learned under Enoeda sensei.
